[During this Season of giving and sharing, The Divining Wand’s readers would like to thank their authors/friends for this past year and wish them Holiday Greetings. The next few weeks will feature universal as well as personal nods to writers who share with us throughout the year. Happy Holidays!]
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Holidays! Thank-you for providing me with hours of entertainment throughout 2010. I wear many hats in my everyday life: mom of three boys, wife, daughter, sister, employee, friend, chef, and chauffer, and reading provides me with an escape, a few moments to myself, and a unique way to experience new things. When I’ve had a long and tiring day I long to escape under the covers with a book. And when I’m there? The tension of the day evaporates.
I’ve read on your blogs that writing can be a frustrating and often solitary pursuit, that some days the bad outweighs the good. I’ve heard that with every rejection or bad review the desire to pour your heart onto a page for everyone to read can seem insane. Thank-you for sticking with it- without you I wouldn’t have the magic of words at my fingertips.
